For $___XXXX___, the seller agrees to sell and the buyer agrees to purchase a female________,

male ________ puppy from the litter described above subject to the following terms.

1. Seller warrants that the puppy is a purebred Labrador Retriever registerable with the                      American Kennel Club (AKC).  The puppy is of  pet quality  and is NOT to be used for

   breeding.  Limited registration papers have______have not________been provided to the              Buyer as of the date of the completed purchase, together with a true copy of its pedigree. 

2. The puppy must carry the Grimaldi kennel name. 

3. Seller warrants that the puppy is in good health at the time Buyer assumes ownership. Buyer        agrees to have the puppy examined by a licensed Veterinarian within one (1) week of receipt         of puppy.  If, as a result of the examination, the Veterinarian determines that the puppy is not         in good health then the Buyer shall elect to keep the puppy or return the puppy to the Seller          for a refund.  If the buyer elects to return the puppy, Buyer shall immediately return the                   puppy at Buyer’s expense.  If the buyer elects to keep the puppy, the seller is NOT

  obligated to pay for any veterinary treatment.

4. If said puppy develops hip or elbow dysplasia or genetic eye problems within 26 months from date of birth, the Buyer shall provide copies of the OFA or CERF report to Seller along with proof of spay  or neuter from a veterinarian. Seller will allow for $   XXX         of credit to be applied  to another puppy from Grimaldi Labradors.  Buyer is not required to return the dog to Seller.

5. Breeder shall be permanently listed as the alternate contact on the microchip registration.    

6. Buyer agrees that if it becomes necessary to sell or otherwise dispose of this puppy, Seller will be notified before taking such action so that the puppy may, at the Sellers' option, be re- purchased. Surrendering the puppy to an animal shelter or rescue shall incur a $2,000 penalty. We will ALWAYS take our dogs back.

                                                                                                                                                     

If the Buyer breaches any part of this Agreement,  the Seller is released from any obligations.

**The reason we impose a penalty is to insure the safety of each and every puppy we sell, for life. Far too many dogs end up in shelters and rescues each year. Many of them are purebred and the shelters have no way of identifying or contacting the breeders. I want to make sure that none of my puppies ever end up in the same sad situation.  We will always take back any of our puppies at any age, for any reason; no questions asked.
